My name is Derek Pickford, and I work for Surerus Murphy Joint Venture (SMJV) on the Eagle Mountain Project. I am coordinating a community fundraising event on behalf of the spread.

On September 7, 2025, we will be riding in support of the charity “Ride for Dad”. This event has a mission to save men’s lives by funding prostate cancer research and raising awareness about the disease across Canada.

All participating riders will leave Squamish @ 08:00 and ride through Whistler towards Pemberton. We will make a presentation with the funds raised before heading back to Squamish after the event.

My job is to fundraise and coordinate the ride. With support from our suppliers, contractors and vendors, our goal is to raise a total of $50,000.

We have established a 3-tier sponsorship recognition program based on the amount of donation:

Gold     –  $5000

Silver   –  $2500

Bronze –  $1000

In pursuit of this goal, we would like your communication as soon as possible. Every little bit helps. In recognition of your donation, we will feature sponsors logos and amounts donated.
