We undertook the Kingston Motorcycle Ride for Dad July 24. We were provided with a map and predetermined route which took us from Kingston along ‘curvy-twisty, uppy-downy’ motorcycle backroads all the way to Henderson, near hwy 7, and back. The weather played along nicely with comfortable temperatures under slightly overcast skies.
Thanks to lots of very generous sponsorship donations, we managed to raise a very respectable $1958.-
Gina and I completed the Ottawa Ride on July 18. This time, we were given the freedom to choose both, the date and the route. The roads of Eastern Ontario are more or less straight and flat. That is not as interesting for motorcycling, so I cobbled together a more functional trip which would provide plenty of ‘photo opses’ in front of some of the corporate sponsors to show our appreciation
This will be my second ride, the first being before COVID. The first ride was on a Vulcan 900 Classic and this year will be my Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster picked up just a few weeks ago.
